Visitors are invited to pen and share their thoughts which will later be compiled and shared with the world on various websites that will bear witness to what is truly going on in our hearts.

students created art with the-green-heart

It was quite an exciting Spring this year.  the-green-heart went into five Los Angeles High Schools to ask students: What is in your heart?

Grant High School, Roosevelt High School, Lincoln High School, Santee Education Complex and San Fernando High School.

the-green-heart in schools is a collaboration between Petra Eiko and Los Angeles Education Partnership.  Eiko and her team introduced the project to the students and offered a complete program for the Spring semester.  The project was extremely well received and thousands of students participated.  Each school selected green-heart- ambassadors to work the project.  They had media teams,  journalism teams, designer teams etc.  The teacher's and student's efforts was amazing.  Each school displayed the-green-heart for six weeks.  One school created a stage, one a garden and another one t-shirts to promote the project on campus.  While creating art with the-green-heart the students worked in teams, made new friends and explored what they have in common.

The students have their own Facebook page called: what is in your heart? the world is listening to students.  Here we display all the posts of the students and their work.  Please feel free to join and like the page.

the-green-heart went to Germany

On November 14 the-green-heart visited a fundraiser in Bad Dieburg, Germany.  The fundraiser was held for the German Stroke Association.

Liz Mohn / Bertelsmann AG - photo with Petra Eiko - is the president and founder of the German Stoke Association.  With undiminished stamina she successfully supports this organization since 1993 with the goal to help more and more people that struggle through such a devastating time in their life and raise awareness for this particular illness.

the-green-heart was at the benefit gala to share and help this wonderful organization.  Eiko's book Heart became a beautiful, meaningful gift for the 120 guests.  A gallery of Petra Eiko's paintings guided guests from the red carpet to the cocktail lounge and to the ballroom.

The charity night was initiated by Marcus Belte/Belte AG and fashion designer Christina Duxa.  Verona Pooth hosted through the evening and stars from music (Angelika Milster) and television (Alexandra Kamp) were in attendance.

Eiko's painting was donated for a special re-convalescent-clinic for children that suffered a stroke.
